Support for Local Businesses

The UK is continuing to face tough economic conditions and businesses are facing their toughest test in recent years. Business confidence hit a two year low in January which is further fuelling fears of a recession on the horizon. Businesses are facing a backdrop of labour shortages, rising costs and a fall in demand, combine this with a withdrawal of fiscal support and businesses are feeling the strain.

The ICEAW has stated that UK company insolvencies has hit a 13 year high, with warnings that it will get worse before it gets better. The number of insolvencies in the last quarter of 2022 has increased 30% compared to the period the year before.
